The Canadian Museum for Human Rights
Designer of the Spirit of the Building Tour
This unique “signature tour experience” for the Canadian Museum for Human Rights draws upon the architectural building blocks of the Museum to offer a pioneering journey into Indigenous principles about the earth, ceremony, and universal rites of passage. The tour was designed in consultation with a council of seven First Nations elders and engages visitors in a shared vision of humanity rooted in the Seven Sacred Laws: Respect (Buffalo); Love (Eagle); Courage (Bear); Honesty (Sabe); Wisdom (Beaver); Humility (Wolf); and Truth (Turtle). The Spirit of the Building Tour provides an unforgettable voyage through human rights awareness and will introduce visitors to land-based tenets of Indigenous wisdom and universal principles concerning the indivisibility of the human family.
